Trapped In Castle Bombadier - Where's the Marshmallow

I've heard of this but I haven't been able to find it. I think I've searched and mapped everywhere. The only thing I'm carrying is the gold key. The pick is in the pit and I can see the white handkerchief but have no idea how to get it. I've read the clues about looking around where I used the gold key and also a bit before the guard and I've searched all around where I opened up the cell where the lion was and the areas around where the two guards (one dead, one alive where). I'm at a loss.
