> Gil, you have a good idea about giving inactive players a slight penalty, to discourage sniping. However, unless the only requirement was that players allocate new stat points, this would penalize the perfectly legitimate strategy of saving gold up for bigger purchases. I think just the fact that sniping is a losing strategy overall is discouragement enough. The real problem is the issue of multiple accounts. If you have a second account you don't care about, losing strategies aren't deterrents.

That's sort of what I meant, sorry. Essentially, the system knows if you haven't yet spent gold, meted out bonus points, or set a strategy because the game will send you notifications on those things until you do them. If you haven't done any of those three things... well, what were you doing? Heh.

You could even make it something that increases over days; maybe not even have a penalty the first time, but the second day you do it that month, it's 25, then the third day it's 50, the fourth day it's 100, fifth is 200... somebody who intentially skipped out for six days to attempt a snipe would at that point not be gaining any gold or points to benefit from; sure, they could still try it, but with that much taken out of their built-up reserves, it'll put a major dent in their chances of doing anything nasty. Well, anywho, maybe it'd work, maybe not, heh.

I kinda didn't want to mention this stuff in public as it might give some people ideas :P Ah well, hopefully with these new measures in place it'll cut down on cheaters.
