Sometimes you need to work a little in certain areas. Go back to the gnome. Have you given him something? You don't mention him... If not then go fishing in the boat. Make sure you talk to him a few times (at least two or three or until he gives you something). As far as the tower near the garden you have two things in your inventory that will help you to the top. HINT>>>>>> Read at least seven pages of the book you find in the tower. If you have the passring chances are you gave the soothsayer 4 gold coins. Head back to the garden and search for the "Castle in the Garden". I believe you know how to get there. Good Luck
