The old Toyota is approaching the end of the trail, so I am looking at cars. I may not get another Camry, because I never figured out what the name means. It's a common problem. So Many cars are named for cities. For example, Santa Fe, LeMans, Monteray, Tacoma(my truck)or Bonneville.

Some Chrysler cars may be named for cloud types, or have violent-sounding names like Avenger, Viper, Charger, or Stealth.

Japanese cars often have Spanish-sounding names that may not always be Spanish. Honda, Subaru, Mazda, Toyota, Corola. Other words seem to have no meaning at all. Camry, for example. Also Prius, Corola, Credessa, Miata, or Sentra. I suppose a Civic is for civilian use, a DeLuxe is luxurious, and an Accord is agreeable.

And Austin Healey Sprite is a name longer than the car it represents.

Don't forget the critters like Imapla, Barracuda, Ram, Super Beetle, Marlin, or Lynx. Is a Pinto named for a bean or a horse?

Some people like grand names like Crestliner, Grand Prix, DeVille, or Town Car.

I think I will just buy a generic car and name it myself. Do they make those?
