Fantasy Quest 1, Cant believe stuck again so soon!

I got the hook , got the jewel dagger, tried to fish again and again. went to the cave again and again and swam out under the ocean... nothing

thought the cat might like a fish.... cant seem to find him one.. i fished and fished...

also used shovel, everyplace youre allowed to dig
now got blisters but nothing else t show for it.

so frustrated.... thought the hook would solve all my problems. still cant open the draw bridge.
i walked back thru the game 3 times going everywhere i have ever been......did every option about 10 times.... what am i missing..??????
