> Yes you need the hook. If you gave the guy at the store a diamond he gave you a hook. If you are reading other hints you might be getting ahead of yourself. I don't think there is a log in this game. You are confusing this game with Fantasy Quest II. Take your time and let me know how many gold coins you have given the soothsayer. Have you done anything with the cat in the garden?

Just another thought... Did you get a club when you killed the orge? Wish I could help more. I'm not sure what you have done and what you've missed.
