Complete disguise (Outlaws)

Haven't played in a while (problems with my computer). Anyway, I just put together the mask part of the disguise, but I need the false mustache. I tried shaving the guard's mustache off with the rapier, but this isn't allowed. Need something sharp, but have already searched all 4 levels and can't find anything. I'm afraid to risk getting lost again by trying to re-enter the desert.

My inventory is: Matches, wood, hat pin, feather, key, playing cards, map, canteen, rapier, string, cape, mask, cabbage, and spitoon.
