Spices, check. The main stock... no. Go back to the general store in Caballo Creek and see what you can buy. (If you can't, did you wake the fat guy up? Do that first if you haven't.) > > > > Then go back to Lucky Strike. Seen what's behind the fat guy's wagon? Time to work your mad cooking skills. Or something. :) > > > > -Mandi "trial and error" aka Chaos > > Hey, Mandi. Sorry to bug you again, I know you're busy with your own game. I see what you're getting at with the cooking---I should use the Dutch oven. But I've already been to the general store, still can't buy anything. I hit the "talk to the proprietor" button about a billion times. AND I've already woken the fat guy up...no dice. I don't want you to give me the answer, just suggest the next direction I should set off in. > > Just out of curiosity, have you solved all these games? How long have you been playing them? I only came across this website maybe a week ago. I played games of this kind before, but years ago.
As for the first question, Outlaws follows a weird pattern. I can think of two things you could be missing. One is straight-forward, the other one is a wild guess.
1) Go back to your home and search your kitchen cabinets thoroughly. You can't cook anything cold!
2) Now for the wild guess: did you fight off any Indians in your travels? If not, talk to the old guys outside the general store til they give you something. It'll trigger an event to the north that might let you do other things. (I'm guessing this based on the fact that you have a beer, piano playing nets you $14 and you have $13. Which means the piano playing was the only income you've made in this game.)
As for the second question... *does a quick search of the boards* wow, four and a half years.
Played every game on AGL, but not Murkon strictly because I already suck my time away with a lot of other things. I started keeping a notebook of maps and items for all the games I played to refer to when I kept screwing up hints. The only game I haven't beaten is the Compu-Maze optional game in Early Years, and I have yet to do all the possible teacher tasks in TOA. (i.e. Don't ask me about the rat.)
I haven't written any of the games (and grad school and work steal enough of my sanity already) - I just lurk on the Hint Boards when I'm trying to avoid doing homework or waiting for someone else so that I can get some work done. :)
