The Wrath of Love

Love,
So sweet,
So joyous,
The fruit of heaven,
Making life beautiful,
Giving purpose,
The mother of euphoria,
But then it strikes,
Changing its tune,
What once brought joy brings only sadness,
Heaven hath become hell,
The sugar of life turned to lemon,
Beauty distorted,
Love, now lord of rejection.

The Joy of Rejection

Rejection,
So poisonous,
So mournful,
The fires of hell,
Making life ugly,
Bringing death,
The father of depression,
And then a touch is felt,
The mood changes,
Mourning now celebrating,
The fires a wondrous food,
The poison becomes a medicine,
Death shown to be life,
Rejection, now lady of love.
