This is a fine series of vignettes about five couples who discover that they aren't legally married. The first, starring Ginger Rogers and Fred Allen, has some sharp lines but an unconvincing conclusion, the film's only serious flaw. It's uphill from there. The segment with Louis Calhern and Zsa Zsa Gabor is a scream; but the delightful final segment, with Eddie Bracken and Mitzi Gaynor, is the crown jewel.
