War Games has a cult following of computer nerds who were growing up around when this was made. It's interesting to look at it now, when computers are more complex yet less mystical and sinister. The computer-related part of the story, of course, is ridiculous, but that doesn't mean this movie isn't an entertaining romp. It's an effective film, actually, and surprisingly so given how simplified the story is from a theoretical similar real-life incident.
