The Unsinkable Molly Brown (1964)

Reviews and Comments

This musical tells the story of the life of Molly Brown, the famous survivor of the Titanic. Curiously, her episode aboard the ill-fated ship is only an aside. Primarily this is a fish-out-of-water story, about a country girl who dreams of bigger and better things, then wonders if city life, after she finds it, is really what she was looking for. The songs are rousing if not memorable; in fact, the film as a whole is fun without being enduring. See this if you're in a pleasant mood and looking for a good musical to while away some time.
