The Man Who Knew Too Much (1956)

Reviews and Comments

Alfred Hitchcock's remake of his own 1934 film of the same name is an improvement over the original. The stars are Jimmy Stewart and Doris Day, both of whom turn in splendid performances. Although some of the macabre cinematography from the original black and white version is lost in the remake, significant improvements to the plot were made, particularly involving the climax. Doris Day's rendition of Que Sera Sera, played for suspense, is one of Hitchcock's most memorable moments.
