The Captain's Paradise (1953)

Reviews and Comments

As many of the British comedies from the forties and fifties were, the humor in The Captian's Paradise is clever, witty, and subtle. Alec Guinness was the king of this type of comedy, and he dominates this picture with the same sophisticated charm he used to dominate so many others. This is a very good, entertaining film.
