An interesting but standard rendition of the good friend / bad friend plot, this movie stars George Raft and Henry Fonda (guess which plays which) in Alaska. Fonda has made an honest living fishing for salmon, but Raft has had worse luck saving up for a schooner. Each has a love interest, of course, and among the other co-stars are John Barrymore and Akim Tamiroff (as a pirate). Occasionally melodramatic, but the performances are sincere.
