"Doorbells should ring once and then electrocute the ringer."

This creative comedy stars Claudette Colbert as a photographer assigned to cover the construction of an underwater tunnel. She meets Fred MacMurray there, a lunky brute, and can't get him out of her mind. So she devises a plan to become sick of him, with predictable results. The stars are talented, and the script is a cut above the norm in terms of innovation, but one senses that there was a yearning for greatness just under the surface that never quite gelled. As it is, No Time For Love is an amusing but forgettable romantic comedy.
