Mimic (1997)

Reviews and Comments

Mimic is a proud member of the giant-bugs-that-jump-out-at-people genre, which is not in itself something to admire. But it has such enthusiasm and mechanical prowess that it pulls it off with immensely satisfying results. Mimic is scary, chilling, fascinating, and an amazing visual sense of setting. It's unlikely, too, but that's part of the fun. Although there's lots of bug goop, the violence is mostly implied -- leaving the imagination to work worse horrors than could ever be shown on screen.
