Not even Cary Grant's formidable presence can make this comedy gel. There's a lot of fast talking that's supposed to be funny but somehow isn't. Oddly, its drama works better than its comedy. The story concerns a trio of pilots on leave, fighting bureaucracy and red tape to keep the four days of leave they were given. Grant's character had potential -- his unpredictable reactions to the arguments and actions of others were interesting, but ultimately fail in creating a rounded character. See it widescreen if you see it at all.
