It Happened To Jane (1959)

Reviews and Comments

Pleasant, harmless comedy about a woman who takes on a rich, mean director of a railway line after a shipment of her lobsters is spoiled en route. This film belongs to another age; although it was ahead of its time with its subdued feminist message, few of today's age of irony are likely to accept how simply a zealous speech or two seems to sway even the coldest of hearts. Taken on the film's own terms, it's enjoyable enough entertainment but not much more.
