What a bizarre movie. This science fiction dud from Japan follows the exploits of a throng of nondescript, indistinct kids as they save the world from alien invaders that look basically like slowly lumbering guys with helmets. Once in a while they are inexplicably aided by a superhero of sorts that shows up out of nowhere in a rocket car, beats up the aliens, and takes off. It's less fun than it sounds, particularly in the end, which consists of nearly ceaseless repetition of cheesy aerial battle footage.
