Double Jeopardy (1999)

Reviews and Comments

If you've seen the trailer to Double Jeopardy, you've seen the movie. All you're missing is a lot of filler, including uninteresting fist fights, stalking, and the cliche where someone is searching for someone in a crowd and mistakenly grabs similarly garbed strangers from behind. It might have been more convincing if the plot developments weren't so contrived. The detective work in the movie would only ever work in the movies, and it's a good thing, too, considering how freely personal information is given out to unknown persons over the phone. Stars Ashley Judd and Tommy Lee Jones turn in sincere performances, but they are wasted in this recycled story.
