Charlie Chaplin: The Rounders (1914)

Reviews and Comments

The Rounders is a chaotic amalgam of wild gesticulations and falling down. It's so full of chaos that the near absence of comedy almost isn't a problem. But it was for me: the various gags in this just don't work, sometimes because the timing is off and sometimes because the photography isn't a good fit for the material.
