Adventurous but forgettable, Back To God's Country relate the struggles fur-trappers Rock Hudson and Marcia Henderson have shipping out of Alaska. They're waylaid by smooth crooks apparently after their goods. Frequent gaps in logic hurt this film, and it rarely builds up sufficient steam. But the shots of the snowy wilderness are impressive, and a fist fight between Hudson and badguy Steve Cochran is a goodie.
