In an age where the division between films for adults and films for kids are increasingly divergent, A Christmas Story is like manna from heaven. The quirky dialogue and direction is a joy to behold. The screenwriters obviously have a strong memory of what it's like to be a kid, as well as the solid working knowledge of what it takes to make a good story, and a bizarre sense of humor to boot. Here's a comedy with impeccable style and class and should have you laughing yourself silly. Watch it every year!
