 Series Spotlight: Tarzan

Edgar Rice Burrough's literary hero Tarzan has appeared in over 50 movies, dating all the way back to 1918. The most famous and accessible were those starring Johnny Weissmuller, which introduced the now famous and instantly recognizable "Tarzan yell" to pop culture history. Although most of the Tarzan films are cheap B-movies, they're all campy fun for fans of pulp adventure, and a few of them are legitimately good movies.

For more detailed information about the films made about the character, see Sam's review of Tarzan the Ape Man (1932). Scroll down below the review for a comprehensive list of all the other Tarzan films and reviews for most of them.
